A specialist in the treatment of ear, nose, throat, and head and neck disorders, Dr. Chris Loughlin brings an easygoing manner and personable demeanor to the practice of medicine.
Taking the time to explain his diagnosis and the options available to his patients, Dr. Loughlin is right at home at CT Sinus Center, a full-service facility that offers truly coordinated care between specialists. This continuity of care allows Dr. Loughlin to work in concert with other professionals at CT Sinus Center, providing patients with a one-stop-shop and, in many cases, same-day treatment.
Raised in the New Britain, CT area, Dr. Loughlin attended Central Connecticut State University, graduating in 1988 with honors in two majors: biology and economics. He then attended the University of Connecticut Medical School, graduating in 1992.
Dr. Loughlin completed an internship in general surgery at Wake Forest University Medical Center, followed by an otolaryngology residency at Wake Forest, which he finished in 1997.
He was certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology in April 1998. He spent the majority of his post-residency years practicing otolaryngology in Winchester, VA, before moving back to his native Connecticut in 2008. His practice interests include nasal/sinus disorders and allergies, head and neck tumors, thyroid masses, and sleep apnea/snoring surgery.
Dr. Loughlin is married and has three children. He enjoys basketball, rowing, and kayaking.
Along with the other physicians at CT Sinus Center, he specializes in the Balloon Sinus Dilation procedure and has provided Balloon Sinus Dilation Center of Excellence guidance and demonstrations to interested physicians from other medical practices at our office.
